Colman’s of Aysgarth does not capture or store any personal information about individuals who access this website except where personal data is voluntarily given via e-mail, by using an electronic form, or enquiring about any services.

Data may consist of name, address, telephone number, email address.

Data is collected when a reservation is made, or you use our facilities or services, via our team, either in person, over the phone, or by completing a form or when a booking is made via the website. Data is also collected when you fill in guest forms or contact us using our social media accounts.

Personal data supplied for enquiry purposes will be used exclusively for providing you with the information requested and will not be passed on to any outside organisation and/or individuals.

Colman’s of Aysgarth does not use “cookies” for any purposes.

Your data is stored on a secure database operated by our booking manager freetobook. This database is fully compliant with the GDPR data rules.

This freetobook database does not store or capture any personal data other than as detailed above.  Neither Colman’s of Aysgarth nor freetobook will transfer any personal data to any other party if it is not part of the booking and review process.

All credit and debit card data captured via our booking system or by other means is kept secure with the PCI level 1 compliance of FabPay, Stripe and PCI Card Storage.

Data Sharing

We may share your personal data with third parties with which we have partnered to enable an integrated user experience. In particular, we work with Freetobook who provide our booking engine and Stripe who handle the secure storage and processing of Debit and credit card information. We also supply your email address to Freetobook for the sole purpose of obtaining feedback about your stay. You are under no obligation to provide such feedback, and you will only receive 1 email from each of our review partners.


Colman’s of Aysgarth will not send you emails of a marketing nature.  

You will receive a booking confirmation email upon making a booking via our website or other third party and you will receive a further email prior to your stay with pre stay information.  

You will receive 1 email after your stay as detailed above asking for feedback.

We will not use your email address for any other purposes.

Accessing and amending your data
